I finished a sketch yesterday and today I'm working on learning to CG correctly. Hopefully this goes as planned because we all know how short of an attention span I have.

Both my webcomics are on hiatus until I feel confident enough to redraw the pages. They all look so sloppy! I don't know what I was thinking. I am also postponing any further work on OBTS because I do not want my characters to attacked by the Twilight fandom.

I'm still deciding whether to use blogger/blogspot or livejournal as my sketch journal. I'll post some more when I have time.

WTF Am I Doing?

I was sitting here randomly thinking about random stuff when I asked myself, "Why is Kizu even a vampire?" This was mentally not out loud, mind you.

My answer(again mentally):

It holds the story together. Yes, Kizu could have been a human just like Toku. The problem with that is there is not enough conflict in their relationship for me to develop personalities from. If Kizu were only a human, their only relationship problems would be the fact that they are gay and Kizu's antisocial tendencies.

Since Kizu is a vampire, but of the above apply along with the fact that Kizu won't admit that he likes Toku and hides behind the fact that he craves Toku's blood.

Also, the fact that Kizu is a vampire, lead to some other conflict that I don;t care to discuss.

On another note, I am revamping the entire manga and character designs. Major changes include:
-Both Tokutei and Kizu actually looking like guys
-Rikoteki's appearance matching his personality
-Script changes

This means that I am deleting all the pages eventually. Sorry commenters.

I have another manga plot that is in progress atm. It's called Shot To Remember. The basic plot so far:

A boy named Kurai has a curse of not being able to die. When something happens that should have killed him, he gets a case of amnesia. He can only remember that he died and how he died. His best friend Yoru continues to put the pieces back together for Kurai because Yoru is in love with Kurai.

It's really more interesting that it sounds...Really...

For some really weird reason, I dream write...(I know it makes no sense, but hear me out)...I will lay in bed thinking about OBTS and dream out some of the plot. I swear I'm awake, but then my alarm goes off and I wake up. Most of the best part of the plot came from this.

Tomorrow, I'll be working on my manga. Hopefully I get work done.

And Now For The Featured Presentation...

As promised, these are the character sketches and some information about each character. type='text'>Did I Mention My Brain Might Melt?

I think things over way too much. So much that I don't even understand my two main characters. I want them to have a relationship, but Kizu's personality is really asexual. His vampire side would just love to violate Tokutei, but Tokutei would never let that happen, especially not on his first time. It would have to be a very intimate situation and not hasy and messy. It seem to suit their characters more.

I was thinking about my characters a moment ago and thought with would be nice if I actualy gave some information on the characters, so people won't be completely in the dark. I'll just give words that have to do with their charcters and not their whole background. Remember, last name, first name.

Akamatsu Tokutei
naive
friendly
shy
uke
smart

Takamura Kizu
distant
quiet
seme
protective
honorable
smart

Hayata Yukai
crazy
random
friendly
happy
nosey
clingy
fan girl

Marino Kei
funny
protective
clumsy
honest
humble
fun

Murakami Rikoteki
selfish
sadistic
rapist
clever
mean
seme

So basically, Tokutei's the ultimate uke and Rikoteki's the sadistic seme. Yukai's the random energetic girl, Kei's the comic relief character, and Kizu's the broken guy everybody feels bad for.

Did I mention my Mom is the most awesome person ever! She bought me a scanner, so I can now scan my character sketches in and you guys can see what they actually look like. She also bought me a pencil case and manga (Princess Princess and Loveless).

On another note, I've been on a super yaoi and shonen-ai spree and watched and read a ton of it this past week. This included these:

Manga
Haru Wo Daiteita
Boku No Koe
Anything by Haruka Minami
Gravitation
Junjou Romatica, Egoist, and Terrorist

Anime
Winter Cicada OVA 1, 2, and 3
Haru Wo Daiteita OAV 1 and 2
Boku No Sexual Harassment OAV 1, 2, and 3
Monochrome Factor
Gravitation
Junjou Romatica, Egoist, and Terrorist
More that I forgot the names of

Winter Cicada was a beautiful story and it made me cry. It takes a lot to make me cry over a movie. If you like yaoi and you haven't watched it, you must. Monochrome Factor is a cute story that isn't too bad for people how don't really like BL.

As I read and watch these, I'm learning what I like and don't like about them and using it as a reference for my manga and story. I figure out that I like the guys to actually look like guys. They can look like gay guys, but not to the point that I couldn't tell if it was a man or a women. I also don't like a story where the only drama happening is over stupid stuff and they cry alot. Everybody cries, but they don't have to cry every minute.

I've been taking into consideration that Rikoteki has a heart and that I want him to have a heart. The only problem is that someone doesn't just change their way for no reason. I've been working on it and I think I found a solution, but I have to run it though with somebody just to make sure that it doesn't seem completely irrational.

Lastly, I've been writing random scenes from OBTS and at the moment, the scene is Tokutei's rape done by none other that Rikoteki. I'm having a little trouble because I'm not sure how Tokutei would react. Of course he is against getting raped, but would the pleasure outweight his rational thinking?

Next entry should have a sketch of every named character.

Why My Storylines Are Alway Made Of Epic Fail...

I have solved my problem of why I always end up abandoning my storys and fanfiction.

I tend to create characters with very specfic personalities and then make them do something OOC. My stories never seem realistic because I have make my characters do whatever I want them too without considering their personalities.

Let's take Kizu for example:

He is a distant character that does not get close to anybody. He doesn't have very good people skills and there isn't anybody who has gotten close enough to him to get to know him. He just kind of sits in the background.

Just becuase I want hi in a relationship with Tokutei, doesn't mean that he would automatically change his personality and pursue Tokutei. Ultimately, he wouldn't be interested at all unless Tokutei attempted to start a relationship with Kizu.

This also brings me to another point. I realize now that some of my characters are similar to other characters. It was not intentional at all, but I was bound to happen.

Let's look at known characters that are similar to my OCs:

Kizu
- He reminds me of Eiri Yuki from Gravitation. Neither character truely understands their emotions toward their partner. Neither are very good around people.

Tokutei
-He sort of reminds me of Aoyagi Ritsuka from Loveless. They like being around his friends and are generally friendly. They get close to somebody even though they don't really know much about that person. They have close to the same eye color.

Yukai
-She reminds me of Haruhi Suzimiya from The Meloncholy of Haruhi Suzimiya. They are both crazy and speak their mind. They don't care what others think. Yukai actually drags Tokutei around like Haruhi does Kyon. I actually got Yukai's name from the song "Hare Hare Yukai" which is the song they characters dance to in this anime. When I created Yukai, I really only wanted a generally happy girl that could make Tokutei both love and regret being around.

Rikoteki
-He reminds me of how Axel from Kingdom Hearts 2 is protrayed in most fanfictions. Both are basically only interested in sex and physical relationships.
-He also reminds me slightly of Kanou from Okane Ga Nai (No Money). For basically the same reason as above.

Kei
-He reminds me of Lavi from D. Gray Man. They are both comic relief characters, but have a serious side to them. They like to joke around with others.

Again, none of my characters were modeled or name after any other character. They are my original creations.

As an end note, Rikoteki's last name happens to be Murakami, which is the last name of Gravitation's mangaka(Maki Murakami). I didn't know that they were the same when I named him. I just used a common Japanese last names list and used it. I actually admire Maki Murakami and I think of it as a little tribute to this magaka.

I Think I Cause Cancer More Than I Cure It...

This is my first post. I'm attempting to force myself to sketch and actually finish some cgs, but using this as a sketch blog. Next post will have like everything I have sketched or rather all my decent sketches. Most sketches will be of Once Bitten Twice Shy (OBTS for short. It will be referred to as OBTS from now on. Don't get confused. Silly me, nobody even reads this.)

I will probably (maybe...I don't know) post some other information about OBTS (You remember what that is, right? If not, refer to above.) as I finalize character descriptions, race descriptions, and the FAQ (...which really isn't much of a FAQ. More like I'm answering every question I can think of, so people don't ask them. That way, I don't to answer the same question 50 times.)

BTW... I am shatteredsanc. If you happen to read this and think OMG chemoetherapy is totally steal someone elses idea, think again. I'm both shatteredsanc and chemoetherapy. Chemoetherapy is just my new screen name, pen name, etc. If you are looking for shatteredsanc, I have most likely changed all my accounts to chemoetherapy (though I doubt anyone is looking for me.)

First CG.
